Pressure cooker smothered pork chops you can cut with a fork! This quick, easy recipe is a go-to after a busy day when you want something satisfying and tasty.

The step that will take the longest is peeling the potatoes. All you have to do is grab the few ingredients and your pressure cooker and dinner is on!

Pressure Cooker Pork Chops – A Weeknight Meal

These pork chops come out tender with a side of potatoes, and creamy sauce. Add a salad if you wish and it’s time to eat.

I created it recipe after thawing chops for dinner but ended up working late. I wanted something quick but fulling. BINGO! This is it!

First, gather your ingredients. This is the pressure cooker I use.

Like I said, it will probably take longer to peel and slice the potatoes than any other step of this recipe. So, start with the potatoes. Slice them about 1/4 inch thick and set them aside.

Sprinkle the pork chops with salt and pepper, to taste, then coat them in flour.

Add about at tablespoon of oil, I use olive, to the pressure cooker and heat. You want to sear the chops to get the flour a light golden brown.

About 3 minutes on each side.

Once the pork chops are seared, turn off the pressure cooker and add everything except the broth and water/flour mixture.

Sprinkle the onion soup mix over everything last.

Now, you are ready to add your liquids. Pour one cup of chicken broth into cooker. Add 1 tablespoon of flour to 1/2 cup of water and stir, add to cooker.

Now it’s time to let the pressure cooker work it’s magic!

I use a Farberware 7-in-1 and set it on P5, use medium pressure on any other. Set for 15 minutes and go do something for yourself. This needs to natural release for about 10 minutes. Enjoy!

  1. I’m always looking for new ways to cook my pork chops. Thanks for the great idea! We recently moved back to Iowa and I’m falling in love with pork all over again. 🙂

  2. This sounds like a winner for our house! I’m always looking for new recipes, especially for my InstaPot. This will be so easy! Although, I will have to saute the mushrooms separately or my husband won’t eat any of it (they touched the pork! – he’s like a 4 year old sometimes!) I have all the ingredients, so I’ll be making this soon! Thanks!
