Quick Pressure Cooker Beef Tips

Quick and easy, that is what dinner on a Monday should be. Make it a pressure cooker, one-pot meal and it is even better. That is why I have come up with my Quick Pressure Cooker Beef Tips.

What’s in the freezer? Beef

When I go to the freezer this morning and I find a package of chuck roast that we cut into cubes before freezing. I pull them out and get to thinking…pressure cooker! BEEF TIPS!

Now, I know that traditionally beef tips are served over rice, which I like, but Steve does not eat rice so I have to find an alternative. So, I chose my go-to, potatoes.

I really should not complain that he does not eat rice, there are foods I don’t like and he does. At this moment, I can’t really think of anything, but I am sure there is something.

Remember that I cook for two! This recipe can easily be increased to serve any number of people. As written, this recipe yields about 4 servings.

What you need for Pressure Cooker Beef Tips

  • 1 pound beef chuck roast, cubed
  • 1 T olive oil
  • 1 T steak seasoning
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/2 onion, sliced
  • 3 new potatoes, chunked

Get Cooking!

Once you have everything prepped it’s time to get cooking!

Turn your pressure cooker on the Sear setting. Next, heat the olive oil then add the beef, onion, and garlic and sear until beef begins to brown. Turn off the pressure cooker and add remaining ingredients, stir.

Set pressure to P5 (Beef) and adjust time to 15 minutes. Seal the pressure cooker and walk away! This is my favorite feature! Allow pressure cooker to natural release 10 minutes (or more if your busy, it’s okay!).

Quick Pressure Cooker Beef Tips

  • Pressure Cooker


  • 1 lb chuck roast cubed
  • 1 T olive oil
  • 1 T Steak seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ onion sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 3 new potatoes cubed


  • Set pressure cooker to sear. Heat olive oil then add the beef and garlic.
  • Sear beef 2 minutes, stirring to sear all sides.
  • Turn off pressure cooker and add remaining ingredients, stir.
  • Seal pressure cooker and cook 15 minutes allowing 5-10 minutes to natural release.

  1. I love a good beef stew – it is a proper winter warmer! I like to put carrots in my stew just before it is served, for the last hour or so with lots of gravy ♥ DELISH!
